Operations is the adulting of the business world

No one wants to do it.

It’s not “fun.”

You can’t really make it look glamorous

(I’ve seen people try and it feels gross and slimy to me.)

For true operations (that work for YOU and not what everyone else says you should do):

You have to think,

consider, dream,

plan, ideate,

collect, analyze,

decide and then…

Well, you actually have to do the things you decide.

And then do all of the above ALL over again.

And again.

And again.

And again.

…over and over…on and on…forever.

It does not end.

It’s like everything we need to do in daily life to stay alive (and possibly be a functional member of society.)

It’s the never-ending laundry, grocery shopping, cleaning the house, cooking/prepping meals, deciding where to go, what to do, every single day.

And every single day, multiple times a day, for multiple things…you do these again and again and again.

(If you can, you hire someone else to do it. Note: At a beyond livable and generous wage because this stuff gets tedious and boring. Even if the person loves it. Because the people who love it are one in a million and you want to keep them, so again, if you hire it out, it is at generous wage.)

You still have to know what YOU want, you possibly have to have the tools and supplies (or know which ones you want them to acquire and use for you.)

You have to know YOUR end result – even if the work to get there is by someone else.

THAT is the piece that is missing in so many places in businesses.

Life is easier and more pleasurable when daily/regular things (food, clean clothes) are running smoothly. And you feel it when it’s not.

Imagine how much easier it could be IF you had the real systems that you need, in place, in your business.

AND that they helped you build the business and be the person you want to be in the world. (Because why build a system if that’s not the goal!)

It is possible. Promise. Operations are the way to what you want. Whatever that is.

What do you want your ops to do for you? And what are they doing right now?
